Scheduling a Baptism
Baptism marks our acceptance into the care of Christ’s church; it is a sign of God’s grace and forgiveness, and of the beginning of our life in faith. While infant baptism is our tradition, we welcome anyone of any age who has not yet been baptized and wishes to be.
In the Congregational tradition, baptisms take place during Sunday morning worship. We are happy to schedule baptisms on any Sunday of the month except first Sundays. Parents of children being baptized are not required to be members of the church, but we do ask that they meet with the pastors in advance. Contact either of the pastors to arrange a date for the baptism, and to set up a time to talk!

Marriage ceremonies at Greenfield Hill celebrate the covenant between two individuals who are committing their lives to one another, and are seeking the blessing of God. Greenfield Hill Church, as a member church in the United Church of Christ, welcomes all couples for marriage. The marriage ceremony is a religious service, and must be led by a GHCC pastor, though other pastors can participate in the service.
Couples do not have to be members of the church but must be willing to meet at least two times with the pastor conducting their service for premarital counseling and service planning. Weddings are normally conducted by Rev. Alida Ward. Please click below to read our complete wedding guide!
After taking a look at those details, please contact Rev. Alida Ward to check on date availability and set up counseling times.
