300th Anniversary Celebration & Capital Campaign
For great is your love,
reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness
reaches to the skies.
Psalm 57:10
Since 1726, Greenfield Hill Congregational Church has been a sanctuary for thinkers and thespians, scholars and songbirds, physicians and first responders. Over the years, generations have gathered for worship and fellowship, to celebrate, and to mourn. The names of the parishioners may have changed but what remains constant is GHCC’s essence. This welcoming hub of spirituality mixed with love, respect, and inspiration has weathered 300 years of natural and political upheavals. As GHCC looks ahead to the next 300 years, we want to preserve its character while preparing for future generations. While remaining true to its original mission to serve as a source of comfort, strength, and light to all, the church needs to address the functional demands of our historical space and renovate the Len Morgan Youth Barn to accommodate the growing needs of our threeever-popular youth groups. Without a single change to the church’s iconic exterior, GHCC endeavors to tailor its interior to the needs of a passionate and growing community … to reach new heights!
This congregation has always inspired us with its generosity and love. Now, let’s take that commitment to “new heights!” Thank you in advance for your gifts to this important campaign.

GHCC’s 300th Anniversary is an exciting opportunity for us to take lasting measures that will ensure that we are in the strongest possible position spiritually, physically, and financially to continue to serve our congregation and community for many years to come. A church campus that includes five buildings and serves thousands of people each year through church services, nursery school, youth groups, adult education, mission work, pastoral care, and the Dogwood Festival requires both adequate facilities and a strong endowment. The 300th Anniversary Capital Campaign aims to achieve both of those goals by raising $3,000,000 by 2026. The funds raised will enable our church to accomplish two critical objectives. First, they will be used to renovate the Sanctuary and Len Morgan Youth Barn to be safer, more flexible, and more welcoming. Second, they will seed and launch the “David Rowe and Alida Ward Endowment Fund” – a 300th Anniversary fund named in honor of our Pastors and their compassionate and inspired leadership. This endowment fund will provide a firm financial foundation to our church for generations to come.
